We’re looking for an Data Lead to join our team and drive the development of our data roadmap while leading our team of data analysts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to step into a leadership role, make an impact in a dynamic health tech startup, and grow into more senior responsibilities. The role holds accountability for the data team’s goals and objectives and is integral to fostering a data-driven culture within Suvera.

Suvera is a digital health start-up on a mission to keep people in good health wherever they are in the world. We partner with general practices in the UK to deliver a virtual clinic that proactively supports the management of patients with long-term conditions. Today, we manage over 100,000 patients with ambitions to double this by 2026. We have merely scratched the surface for what we can do for both clinical operations and chronic care pathways.

We have a team of phenomenal advisors, including Professor Bryan Williams who is the chair of Medicine at UCL and the man behind high blood pressure guidelines for the UK. We are a small (c. 50 people) cross-functional team from all backgrounds, and have our our own internal Care Team which employs both clinicians and care advisors.

💻 What you'll be doing :

As our Data Lead, you will:

• Lead the Data Team: Manage and mentor data analysts and data engineers and foster their professional growth. Willing also be the point of contact for urgent or mission-critical pieces of work

• Shape the Data Roadmap: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to set priorities and balance ad hoc business needs with strategic deliverables.

• Design Data team Goals: Hold accountability for setting and achieving the goals of the data function and driving value across the

• Optimize the Data Stack: Ensure our analytics stack is robust, scalable, and meets the company’s evolving needs.

• Promote a Data-Driven Culture: Partner with teams across the organisation to embed data-driven decision-making

👀 We're looking for someone who:

Should have:

• Some experience in leading a data function in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • 4+ years of experience working with a modern data and analytics stack including DBT
  • A strong foundation in building scalable, reliable, and secure analytics infrastructures.
  • Proven ability to mentor, support, and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for making data accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A desire to grow into a senior leadership role while making a meaningful impact.
  • Availability for weekly in-person collaboration with our tech team in the UK (remote-first but team-focused).

Nice to haves:

• Experience in health tech or with healthcare data systems
• Familiarity with our stack, including Omni, Fivetran, DBT, Snowflake and Mixpanel
